Baylor College of Medicine Teen Health Clinic (BCM Teen Clinic) is located on the campus of the Raul Yzaguirre School for Success. The clinic is opened to not only the school students but the community as well. Hours of operation are Monday- Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm and serves young men and women ages 13 to 24.

 As one of the nation’s largest providers of adolescent health care, we understand the importance of providing care to this age group and partnering with like-minded organizations. BCM Teen Clinic finds the collaboration with the Tejano Center for Community Concerns to be ideal to bring services to residents in the underserved area of the East End in Houston. BCM Teen Clinic realizes that they must treat the whole patient with not only comprehensive health care and education but with social services including counseling and case management and our work with the Tejano Center for Community Concerns allows them to provide these services.

Location on the school campus allows immediate access to care for the students. This ensures less time away from the classroom, combining two of the most important elements in a child’s life –education and health care. Being opened to the community provides easy access to the population in the surrounding areas for full-service health care.

 The BCM Teen Health Clinic services include immunizations, wellness exams, treatment for minor illness, birth control, STD testing and counseling, health education, pregnancy testing and counseling, sports physicals, health screenings such as vision and hearing testing and referrals when needed. All services are provided at no cost to the patient.

 The mission of the Baylor College of Medicine Teen Health Clinic is to provide patients with the best medical care in a timely and cost efficient manner in a culturally and age sensitive environment, using innovative programs to provide the tools that enable our patients to take control of their health and lives.
