Maria Margarita Salinas
Maria Margarita Salinas is special populations coordinator and leads a team providing services to students who have need for programs in Special Education, Bilingual/English as a Second Language, Gifted and Talented, Section 504, and Response to Intervention.
Ms. Salinas is highly qualified and certified in the State of Texas as a bilingual teacher in early childhood through sixth grade, as well as in special education and Spanish as a Foreign Language to students from kindergarten through twelfth grade. Ms. Salinas accomplished her preservice training at the Instituto San Roberto, a Meritas school in San Pedro Garza Garcia, Mexico, in a fifth-grade classroom where students with special needs received services in an inclusion model. She also worked as a private teacher of Spanish and ESL to Japanese families who relocated to Mexico for business purposes.
In 2012, Ms. Salinas volunteered in the Conroe Independent School District before joining RYSS in 2013 as a bilingual special education teacher in the primary grades. She was later appointed chairperson in the Raul Yzaguirre School for Success Special Education Department.
Ms. Salinas earned a Bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Universidad Regiomontana. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in administrative science at the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education.
