Dyslexia
The objective of the Dyslexia program is to assess students suspected of having dyslexia and provide dyslexia intervention to those students with dyslexia.
The Dyslexia Program provides explicit, direct instruction organized in a systematic, sequential, and cumulative way to meet the specific learning needs of students with dyslexia. This intervention program fulfills the requirements of the Texas Dyslexia Law to utilize individualized, intensive, and multisensory methods to deliver the components of instruction, which include phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.
Dyslexia specialists are trained to deliver an appropriate instructional program to students eligible for these services.
