We at Tejano Center want the best for the students at our RYSS schools including opportunities for a higher education.
For the month of November, we will be posting about scholarships that our senior students can apply for, as well as other information to find more scholarships!
Each scholarship we post about will not be the same and will have requirements that not everyone will qualify for.
Scholarship One:

Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo: Amount $20,000
Requirements:
- US citizen
- Be a graduating senior.
- Be ranked in the top half of their graduating class.
- Plan on attending an accredited, not-for-profit Texas College or University and participate in a curriculum leading to a bachelor’s degree (online colleges and universities are not permitted).
The second scholarship we are highlighting is TheDream.US National Scholarship!
Amount: $33,000

Requirements:
- Open to undocumented immigrant students, with or without DACA or TPS, who meet the following criteria:
- Early Arrival: Came to the U.S. before the age of 16 and before November 1, 2017.
- Financial Need: Demonstrated significant, unmet financial need.
- Renewable Award: The award is renewable each year, contingent upon meeting continuing eligibility criteria.

Requirements:
Applicants must be enrolled at least ¾ time.
Must not have earned a baccalaureate degree.
Must not have been convicted of a felony or crime involving a controlled substance.

- Postulación abierta a estudiantes, incluídos inmigrantes indocumentados, con o sin DACA o TPS, que cumplan con los siguientes criterios:

Requisitos:
