  • Mrs. Longoria has over thirty years of experience in urban education, where she specializes in campus transformation, personnel management, and developing staff and students.  Over her career, Mrs. Longoria was a music teacher, counselor, assistant principal, dean of instruction, principal, school support officer, assistant superintendent of school choice, and chief academic officer before joining Raul Yzaguirre schools for success as the principal of Early College T-STEM & STEM Academy.

    Accomplishments include winning Principal of the year three times –Regional Principal of the Year from the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals in 2013-2014 school year and Principal of the Year in 2012 and 2014 while in the Houston Independent School District.  In addition, as the Principal of Ortiz Middle School, Ms. Longoria’s campus was awarded the Broad Model School Award in 2012-2013.

    Mrs. Longoria graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Arts and earned her Master of Education in guidance and counseling from Texas Southern University and mid-management from University of Houston—Victoria/Sugar Land.
