The Educational Results Partnership (ERP), has named
BROWNSVILLE RAUL YZAGUIRRE SCHOOL FOR SUCCESS
to the 2018 – 2019 Texas Honor Roll.
The 2018 - 2019 Honor Roll recognizes public elementary, middle, and high schools that demonstrate high levels of student academic achievement, improvement in achievement over time, and reduction in achievement gaps.The success factors in higher-performing Honor Roll schools and districts include clear, specific learning objectives aligned to college and career readiness, along with:· Evidence-based instructional practices· A defined system-wide mission of college and career readiness for all students· An investment in human capital· Maintenance of data and assessment systems to monitor school and student performance· Resources and guidance to support schools' efforts in preparing all students for college and careerOur school will be recognized in the press as a leader in student achievement and will also be feature on the ERP’s website where educators and policymakers can seek out high-performing schools so that they can replicate success.

Welcome to our 2019-2020 School Year! I am so excited to begin this new school year. As the demands and complexities of teaching our children increase, it has become evident that we need to work together to insure that our students reach their full potential. BRYSS recognizes that the years spent in school are essential in building the foundation for success and happiness in life.
Personally, I am grateful to continue this journey as your Principal. BRYSS will continue the quest to graduate College Ready students. Bienvenidos al año escolar 2019-2020! Estoy muy emocionada de empezar este nuevo año. A medida que las exigencias y complejidades aumentan al enseñar a los niños, es evidente que necesitamos trabajar juntos para asegurarnos que nuestros estudiantes alcancen su mayor potencial. BRYSS reconoce que los años que los niños pasan en la escuela son esenciales para construir una base para el éxito y felicidad en la vida.
Personalmente, estoy muy agradecida de continuar en esta jornada como directora. En BRYSS nos esforzámos por graduar estudiantes preparados para continuar sus estudios universitarios. Estamos comprometidos en motivar y preparer a nuestros estudiantes utilizando un curriculum sólido que se enfoque en las materias básicas. BRYSS promueve a todos nuestros estudiantes una cultura de autoestima positiva y un sentido de pertenecer.
