Welcome!!

My name is Andrea Bernes and I teach Math and Science. I am so honored to have your children as my students in such a wonderful school that is BRYSS. 

 Math and Science can be tough for students due to the advanced vocabulary and concepts involved. Growing up, I was an English Language Learner myself and can identify with my students. My goal for this year is for my students not only to improve in both subject areas, but to learn to love them! Every day, I strive to demonstrate to them that if they put effort, time, and practice in what they do, math and science can be fun. My hope is that this webpage will be a source of communication between parents, students, and myself. I will be posting reminders and helpful resources, such as websites and activities, for you to be able to use with your children at home. I am aware that your children spend valuable hours here at school and that BRYSS is their second home. This is a responsibility that I take very seriously.
