David Corpus, RYSS Board Vice Chair and Tejano Center Board Chair
David Corpus is senior vice president of CommunityBank of Texas, N.A. He has worked in the banking industry for more than 30 years and his areas of specialty include industrial and commercial real estate transactions. He also has extensive experience in bank mergers, acquisitions, and de novos. Mr. Corpus serves on the Teacher Retirement System Board of Trustees (appointed by Governor Rick Perry), which governs $130 billion in assets, the sixth largest public trust fund in the United States. He also serves on the Harris County Housing Finance Corporation Board of Directors (appointed by Harris County Judge Ed Emmett). Mr. Corpus is also a former adjunct instructor for the Houston Community College System, and his board service with other charitable organizations spans more than 25 years. Mr. Corpus holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in management and a Master of Business Administration from Our Lady of The Lake University at San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Corpus and wife, Karla, have one son, Luke David.
