Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)

     Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)

The Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) is a meal service option for school districts in low-income areas.

For the 2018-2019 school year all Raul Yzaguirre Schools for Success campuses will participate in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP).   As a key provision of The Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act (HHFKA, Public Law 111-296; December 13, 2010), CEP allows the nation's highest poverty schools and districts to serve breakfast and lunch at no cost to all enrolled students.

Together with the CEP program, our main goal is to ensure students eat healthy meals so they can stay focused on learning throughout the school day.

RYSS is still required to have a SocioEconomic form on file for all students. We will be asking families to complete this required form during the first week of school or during your child’s Orientation Day.    This form is also available on our website under Forms and Documents for parents.

It is imperative that we continue to collect this information in order to keep compensatory funding in place.     We look forward to serving all students enrolled at RYSS.
